OLDER  NEWS  (Jan 2003)
31st Jan 03. Newry Town game -  Taken on a slightly different slant now this game hasn't it?   Well it shouldn't - OK, losing midweek to the Crues was bad, but it wasn't the end of the world, we got out of jail when Coleraine beat Portadown the same night ..... NEVER, as they say, look a gift horse in the mouth!!  Tomorrow is the perfect chance to get back on track, I've heard it said it's better to have a really BIG match right after a defeat to help get it out of the system .................... BOLLOX !!   I'll take the team at the bottom of the table every time thank-you very much!!
Right, so where we, Oh yeah - Newry haven't beaten the Glens since November 2000, that was 10 attempts ago when they won 1-0 at the Oval in the first leg of a Gold Cup semi-final, we went to Newry the following week and beat them 3-1 in the second leg to reach, and eventually win the final. Of the 9 games we've played them since, one should stand out in your mind........ that was when it all began to go wrong!!  The Glens had finished the year 2001 off in style - beating Ards 4-0 to close Castlereagh Park on the 29th Dec, five days later Newry came to the Oval like they will tomorrow - without a hope. The border club stunned the crowd to lead the Glens twice that Saturday, the game finished 2-2 and I thought we were lucky. If you believe in omens, Portadown (like they do tomorrow) played Ards and beat them 3-1, I'm sure you don't need me to remind you the Glens never won a game in their next FIVE !! ............     Bet that's cheered you all up ;-)
HOWEVER!!  That was then - this is now.  This team in my opinion are made of sterner stuff, and I'm reliably informed they realise now the Crues match was a much needed kick up the arse!! There are no injury worries and the Glens will be at full strength, so much so that Tim McCann (II) and Mark Glendinning have been getting a bit of a run out lately with the Second's ........... I wonder?  Given last years slight errrr ....... booboo, this is one we really need to win - and win WELL,
I think we will - and so it would seem do TOALS!!
Match betting. Glentoran 2/9, Newry Town 10/1 and a draw 4/1  All odds supplied by TOALS bookmakers

30th Jan 03. C A Shield semi-final NOT all ticket -  Tuesday night's Shield semi-final at the swamp is 'pay at the gate' for Glentoran supporters. The scums followers will require tickets for the game because they've wrecked the turnstiles at their side of the ground, I can only assume in the stampede to get OUT every week ;-)  Admission for us will be £5 adult, and £3 concession on the night.

29th Jan 03. BYE BYE MICKEY!! - Just as well I never bothered with the Mickey Collins clock eh?  The ass***e came on after an hour at Coleraine last night and got promptly booked 10 minutes later!   Cya some time in March Mickey :-)

More ranting from Fear-us to cheer you up -  Motto - When you're feeling down - pick on Lavatory!!
Sure the tosser's good value for it anyway! Click the 'Read my mail' link above to read it :-)

Glentoran 0  Crusaders 1
Oooops - that wasn't supposed to happen!! A Gavin Arthur free-kick after half an hour from all of 40 yards sent the Glens crashing to only their third domestic defeat of the season tonight. At the final whistle all eyes then turned to teletext in the social club for news of Portadown ........ very mixed emotions there were on hearing that they too were beaten - 1-0. Some thought we blew the chance to go 9 clear, but I personally like to think that despite getting beaten we still stayed 6 points clear at the top. Be thankful for small mercies as they say .... you can't win em all, it really could have been a lot worse!  Crusaders match report can now be found HERE

28th Jan 03. Mental Mickey's back!! -  Yip, remember him? The worlds most 'misunderstood genius' returns tonight for the hillbillies after serving a - what was it again, remind me - a 7/8/9 game ban? ..... Whatever!!  Anyway, he's back tonight against Coleraine. I had considered starting another clock believe it or not, to see how long it would be before he's banned again! But you see our friend Mickey is currently sitting on 40-odd points, one more booking actually takes him over the 50 mark and then guess what?  Yip - you got it .......  ANOTHER  6 games!!   How long do you really think the clock would run for?   Yeah right, that's just what I thought ..... waste of time!!      No pun intended ;-)

Crusaders game -  Two home games in the next five days now - against the two bottom clubs. While not daring to tempt fate and become too over-confident, surely a great opportunity to well and truly turn the screw on second placed Portadown! Crusaders are first up tonight, their 2-0 win over Omagh on Saturday opened up a chink of daylight between themselves and Newry Town who now occupy bottom place and a relegation play-off spot. The Crues will be very eager to keep that gap as it is so we can certainly expect no favours from them. Believe it or not the Shore Road side are currently in their best form of the season, in their last five games they've only lost once, and that was an unlucky 1-0 defeat at Shambles Park!! Worth noting too, that goal is also the ONLY one they've conceded in those five games!
Regardless of their half decent run of late though, don't expect anything less than a backs to the wall job from manager Alan Dornan. The Glens have met Crusaders twice already this season, beating them 4-0 at the Oval and 4-2 at their place. Rest assured Dornan will put 10 men behind the ball looking for a point, it's up to us to break them down.
At the risk of sounding like a stuck record, this is another must win game. After waiting so long to open up a six point gap it would criminal to immediately let it close again. Portadown go to third placed Coleraine tonight, they won't expect Crusaders to get anything from the Oval so they know they really have to win up there. Coleraine will know a win for them would close that once mighty gap to 12 points on the Ports with a game in hand, and they play them again in a fortnight!
Yes, tonight could be a very big night indeed, first and foremost though we have to beat Crusaders ...........
anything Coleraine could do of course would be a very welcome bonus indeed ;-)
Match betting: Glentoran 2/9, Crusaders 9/1 and a draw 9/2 All odds supplied by TOALS bookmakers

27th Jan 03.  So the clocks finally gone! - Four goes it took the scum to win a League match in 2003, but what a time to do it eh!  Tell you what, get the scum to play Portadown every week and we'll take care of Institute for them ..... deal?
Bet there were quite a few mixed feelings across the bridge last weekend ......     Who REALLY won on Saturday?  :-)

Shield Semi-Final? -  I've had a few enquiries to the site as to whether or not tickets will be required for next Tuesday nights County Antrim Shield semi-final with the scum. As of lunchtime today the Glens had heard nothing - so assume it's pay at the gate till you hear otherwise.  Any news I'll let you know.

26th Jan 03.  Bring on the Scum!! -  The draw's been made for the County Antrim Shield semi's - guess who we got?
........... THE SCUM !!   As you'd expect, in the interests of impartiality the game will once again be played at the swamp. The game will take place on Tuesday Feb 4th at 7.45pm, Ballymena are at home to Chimney Corner the following night.

Would you believe......  Ronnie McFall has banned his hillbillies (HERE) from speaking to the press!!  - He claims Beacom seems to have it in for his country bumkins and is winding it up!! .....BEACOM??    SURELY NOT RONNIE !!!

Lis Distillery 0  Glentoran 1 ........     AND ......    Scum 3   Hillbillies 2 !!
Six points clear now at the top .......  First time I've went on the half-un's in months!!    DJ REALLY MUST STAY!!
Match report has now been moved to HERE.

24th Jan 03.  Come on the Blues? ....... NAH - don't think so ! - So it's Linfield v Portadown tomorrow - and where do you stand on that one? Well I'm afraid it's gotta be a draw for me. Much as I wanna win the League, look at the years of fun we'd also get if the scum failed to qualify for the final six :-)   A draw's 21/10 - get your shirt on it!!

Distillery game -   OK - hands up who remembers the last time we played at Ballyskeagh? ..... No?   Well, believe it or not it was actually last season!! August 2001 to be exact, right after we got tanked 4-0 at the Oval by Midtjylland in the UEFA Cup, it was a League Cup qualifying group tie and it finished 0-0. We've played them twice since then of course, but both times at the Oval - 2-1 in this seasons League Cup, and 2-0 in the League HERE. It should be an interesting game for another reason too, as due to a postponment earlier this season, we have to return to Ballyskeagh before the split at the end of March.
This is yet another one of those tricky ties. Distillery are one of FIVE teams battling with a realistic chance of making the fifth or sixth place before the top six break away. There are only 5 points between them, and with an average of only ten games left before the split, every point gained now for each of them is priceless!   When this season started there was a bit of stick aimed at the IFL for bringing in the split format. But I'll tell you this, were it not for that coming split, there would be no less than EIGHT sides who would already be going through the motions for the rest of the campaign!
Anyway, we're not one of them are we ;-)  and much as I may have a wee bit of a soft spot for Paul Kirk, I'm afraid we want the points too!  We've opened up a 3 point gap at the top now, after this we have two home ties against the two bottom clubs while Portadown must play third placed Coleraine twice in ten days!
I'm not aware of any injuries from last Tuesdays Cliftonville game, although if Michael O'Neill's fit again I imagine he'll leapfrog Marty Hunter and go back into the side.    It's gotta be another 3 points lads I'm afraid, no letting up!
Ballymac's bus leaves Wilgar Street at 2 o'clock, some of the other clubs running buses can be found at the link above.
Match betting: Distillery 6/1, Glentoran 4/9, and a draw 14/5 All odds supplied by TOALS bookmakers

23rd Jan 03.  Dear John .........   It would seem our regular mail contributor 'Fear Us' was more than a wee bit miffed at Lavatory's decision to leave him out of last weeks 'Ulster'.    Well, not being one to give up so easily, he's at it again this week!!  Read the latest rant yourself HERE.

22nd Jan 03.  Crues game re-scheduled - The Glens League game with Crusaders, postponed at the Oval 2 weeks ago will now be played next Tuesday 28th January @ 7.30pm. Coleraine's home tie against Portadown is also that night.

21st Jan 03.  Glentoran 3  Cliftonville 0 - The Cliftonville match report has now been moved HERE.  Three points clear at the top - and a very nice place to be :-)  BTW - the scum got stuffed again tonight, 2-0 by mighty Institute. That's just the 27 points behind us they are now !!!
FESTERS CLOCK STAYS FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER WEEK ..............   DJ  REALLY MUST STAY :-)

21st Jan 03. Cliftonville game -  It's back to league action again tonight, and hopefully back to the top of the table after a home game against Cliftonville. The 9th December 2000, 7 games and over 2 years ago - surprisingly that's how far back you have to go to find a win for the Reds over the Glens. 1-0 it was that day at Solitude in a League fixture, and they've only managed a single goal to our 10 in the six games between the sides since! Of course that all counts for nothing tonight though does it. We've actually already beaten the Reds once this season, a Gary Smyth free-kick remember, enough for the points at Solitude (HERE). The Reds come to the Oval this time though, and at the minute are only just holding on to 6th place in the league. They venture into these last ten games before the split in a battle with Distillery, Ards, the scum and Omagh for qualification for the top half. They are in no danger of dropping into a relegation play-off position, but will be desperate for any points to keep their season alive after March 29th. A sign of just how determined they are to make that cut however came only a week ago when the Reds travelled to Portadown, even though reduced to 10 men early on, they managed to take a 1-0 lead into the last seven minutes before finally being losing out to two late goals!
All eyes though will be on us once again, a win (or draw) tonight takes us back to the top and puts the pressure back on the Ports who travel to the scum on Saturday. Team news is Michael O'Neill wont play after picking up a knock against Oxford United, but otherwise a full panel to choose from. Another MUST win game for me - kick off tonight is 7.30pm.
Match betting - Glentoran 2/5, Cliftonville 13/2 and a draw 3/1  All odds supplied by TOALS bookmakers

20th Jan 03.  IFA - IFL merger to go ahead ! -  It appears the IFL & IFA have reluctantly bowed to pressure form Sports minister Michael McGimpsey's advisory panel and are to merge. Only half as many ass****s now ;-)

Campbell - the race is on! - Ballymena's contract with striker Shea Campbell ran out last night, and rumours still abound of the Glens interest in the player. Campbell returned for Ballymena in the Irish Cup on Saturday after a trial with Oldham last week, he scored the equaliser in their tie at Portadown to force a replay tomorrow night but must be re-signed by noon today to play in it. If Campbell doesn't sign for Ballymena today, it still doesn't mean he wont.
12.00 noon - Update:  Campbell has just signed a 2 year deal with Ballymena and is going nowhere ........ End of story:-(

19th Jan 03. Glentoran 11  Oxford United Stars 0 !!!
Well, what do ya say! I'm reliably informed this was the Glens biggest win since we beat Oldpark 15-1 way back in 1891 !!
Poor old Oxford United Stars, what must surely have been their worst nightmare became a reality at the Oval yesterday as the Glens absolutely swamped the Intermediate side. Once Scott Young had hit the first strike after only 7 minutes the writing was well and truly on the wall, and when it had reached 6-0 by the half-time interval, talk of goalscoring records was all around the ground. Elliott Morris was a mere spectator, I can honestly say I only remember the ball being in the last third at the Glentoran end on about 4 occasions all day and I stopped taking mental notes on the goalscorers and times after an hour when Darren Armour made it 8 !!  By then the Glens had three players all on 2 goals each and the game had descended into a competition as to who would be first to get a hat-trick!! Darren Armour claimed that honour, another two he got actually to take hs personal tally for the day to four. For the record the other scorers were, Andy Smith 2, Scott Young 2, Michael O'Neill 2, and Marty Hunter 1, Eleven nil it fiished .....  and it could have been a lot more!
BTW - The draw for the last 16 was made at 5 o'clock yesterday, we had to wait till the 16th and final ball for the Glens name to come out of the hat, and as luck would have it we got the team we beat 5-0 just midweek, away to Ballyclare Comrades on Feb 15th. Player Stats page now updated. The full Irish Cup scores and last 16 draw can be found HERE

17th Jan 03. The Irish Cup - Oxford United Stars - It's that time again folks, when the battle begins in earnest for the trophy we Glenmen have come to think of as our own. Ten times in the last 20 years the Irish Cup has finished up back to the Oval, and I have very fond memories indeed of each and every one of those wonderful days :-) ............  Here's hoping for another. Oxford United Stars present the first hurtle to us achieving that. Usually about now I'd be doing a wee bit on the opposition, their team, their form etc. On this occasion though I have to admit... I haven't a friggin baldy!!  All I can tell you is that they are an Intermediate League side from the Londonderry area, they've had to play through 4 rounds to get this far and I assume will be coming to the Oval for a party .............to think they could actually knock the Glens out of the Irish Cup at the Oval is surely the stuff of fairy tales!
That said, expect the Glens to show no sentiment whatsoever, the Irish Cup is a serious business, and Glentoran intend to win it! With no suspensions or new injury worries the Glens will be at full strength, everyone will be expecting a rout, and while it would be nice to see a few goals go in, this is the ultimate banana skin. No arsin about - get in, get the job done and get into the hat for the next round ......... come five o'clock we're down to 16.
Match betting !!!  Aye right, a £25 bet wins you a quid !!!
Glentoran 1/25, Oxford United Stars 40/1 and a draw 15/2.
The Glens are now 2/1 to win the competition.   All odds supplied by TOALS bookmakers

16th Jan 03.  Re-arranged fixtures -  Next Tuesday night should be interesting! The Glens are already playing of course, our postponed HOME game with Cliftonville was pencilled in for the 21st January some time ago, but now that night has also be chosen as the date for Portadown's trip to Coleraine, called off a few weeks ago. Update - the Ports game is OFF

15th Jan 03.  Cliftonville @ Solitude, all ticket -  Our forthcoming League fixture away to Cliftonville on February 8th has once again been made all-ticket. The Glens have only been allocated 800 and they will go on sale this Saturday at the Irish Cup tie with Oxford United Stars at the Oval. Once the allocation has gone that's it - first come, first served.

14th Jan 03.  Come on you Reds! -  Cliftonville that is! Portadown take on Cliftonville tonight at Shambles Park in a outstanding league tie. Should Portadown win - by any margin, they would go back to the top of the table on goal difference, albiet with a game more played. Tonight also sees the Whites take on Ballymena at Ballyskeagh to decide the fourth and final spot in the Shield semi's.
9.50pm - Portadown have won 2-1. Cliftonville were reduced to 10 men in the 11th minute but still took the lead on 77. But Portadown got two in the last 6 minutes from Arkins and Hamilton. Cliftonville finished the game with 9 men right at the death. The result means the Ports leapfrog the Glens at the top on goal difference HERE
Ballymena United are into the last four of the County Antrim Shield tonight courtesy of a shock 2-1 win over Distillery.

13th Jan 03, 9.30pm.  Ballyclare 0  Glentoran 5
Two from Andy Smith and one each from Darren Armour, Kevin Keegan and sub Michael Halliday, proved more than enough to give the Glens a very comfortable victory at Dixon Park tonight and see them cruise into the Semi-Finals of the County Antrim Shield. I'm afraid I was unable to get to the game folks so no match report, there's a decent write-up of the match though on Alex McWilliams Official site if you wanna click HERE.
BTW - the scum sneaked through at the ZOO against First Division Bangor. It finished 1-1 after 90 minutes with a 'golden goal' winner coming in extra time!! Far as I'm concerned 1-1 means the clock STAYS !! ............ hope DJ does too :-)

Ballyclare Comrades game - Ballyclare are next in line as the Glens seek to defend the only trophy we won last season ........... so who's Ballyclare? Three and a bit years ago - that was the last time the two sides met, it too was at their Dixon Park ground, and in the County Antrim Shield, the Glens won 2-0 that night and went on to win the competition .... believe in omens ;-)  I actually remember that game, on an absolutely awful night it was bloody pissin down, our goals finally coming from Scott Young and a Ballyclare OG. Without being disrespectful, I imagine the County Antrim side would probably be delighted to get away so lightly this time given their season so far. Between their 22 Ulster Cup and First Division games, they've only managed to chalk up 5 wins, they've drawn 3 and lost the other 14, scoring 23 goals and conceding a whopping 59!  While it would be irresponsible to treat any opposition lightly, surely defeat tonight is unthinkable!
The Glens go into the tie as you were at Glenavon, nobody picked up any knocks that I'm aware of but don't be surprised if some of them are rested. Locky could do with a full run-out, and you might see Marty Hunter get a longer game, I also think there's a chance Tim McCann (II) or Mark Glendinning could find a spot on the bench, I'm sure they'd jump at the chance!  Michael O'Neill is suspended so couldn't play anyway. Whatever the team this is another must win game to keep the season rolling on, win this and it's into the semi's, with Distillery and the scum the only Premier sides left, it looks like a great chance to retain the old trophy.    Ballymac have a bus leaving Wilgar Street at 6.30pm.

11th Jan 03, 12.20pm.  GAME OFF - Sorry folks, after a 12.00 noon pitch inspection today the game against Crusaders has had to be called off. It seems the pitch is frozen hard in both the goalmouths and the centre circle and was deemed unsafe to play on :-(    UPDATE -  ALL todays Premier League fixtures have now been postponed!

Shea Campbell -  HAS agreed to go to England for a weeks trial !!  Carlisle and Oldham are the latest interested parties.

10th Jan 03.  O'Neill out -  Michael O'Neill has picked up a one match ban in the latest list of IFA suspensions, it'll come into effect as from Monday meaning Michael now misses the County Antrim Shield  quarter-final game against Ballyclare that night.

Crusaders game - A wee handy one tommorow, right? Sure the Glens are at home and it's only the Crues, and they've only won 3 games all season!!  NAH.......  DON'T THINK SO!  True the Crues lie second bottom and they have only won 3 games, but I believe in recent weeks they've turned a bit of a corner. Every team hits a purple patch some time during the long League campaign, even the Crues, and I reckon they're hitting theirs now. In their last three games they've tanked Newry 3-0 away, drew 0-0 with Cliftonville, and just last week narrowly lost 1-0 to a real fluke of a goal away to reigning Champions Portadown! Hardly Championship winning material I know, but when you consider it took them 10 games just to win a friggin match in this league, it is a hell of an improvement!  Bear in mind too they are in serious trouble at the foot of the table and very much need the points  Having said that ...... the Shore Road side will definitely NOT be coming to the Oval to attack. Manager Alan Dornan will set his stall out with 10 men behind the ball, each of whom under strict instructions to kick the sh*t out of anything in green ....... just like he learned at the scum!  It happened at Seaview when we won 4-2.
No matter, far as I'm aware the Glens are at full strength, Darren Armour has reported fit again after the flu and although they probably won't feature tomorrow, BOTH our left backs are well on the mend. Whatever Crusaders ambitions, we have to win, we've opened up a 3 point gap now at the top and the pressure is well and truly on Portadown not to let it grow. We must keep winning, because frankly I don't think Portadown will, and if that gap gets big enough ............. well ....
Match betting: Glentoran 2/7, Crusaders 7/1 and a draw 4/1  All odds supplied by TOALS bookmakers

9th Jan 03.  FESTER'S SECRET IS OUT! - HERE (Best with speakers)

8th Jan 03, 5.00pm.  Ballyclare match re-scheduled - for Dixon Park next Monday night (Jan 13th) at 7.30pm.

Xmas programme -  Full page of photo's from four December League matches just added HERE - Thanks to Tommy Sewell

First mail's on the Board for 2003 -   I'm gonna re-name it the 'Fear-Us'  Bulletin Board before long ;-)  Read his latest ... 'observations' at the usual link above.

7th Jan 03.  Chimney Corner through! -  Poor old Carrick Rangers, things just seem to go from bad to worse! Just 3 weeks after getting hammered 12-1 by Dungannon Swifts, the seaside team have now been dumped out of the County Antrim Shield, beaten 1-0 tonight by 2nd Division Chimney Corner!  Never rains does it Mr Mooney!!

MATCH OFF -  Tonights County Antrim Shield quarter-final tie with Ballyclare Comrades has just been called off, there are no details yet as to when it eventually will be played. The frost has put paid to all bar the Carrick v's Chimney Corner match, also off is the Coleraine v Portadown game in the League.

6th Jan 03.  Campbell .....£100,000 !! - 'If you want Shea Campbell it'll cost you 100 grand', so says Kenny Shiels. The Ballymena boss is also gurning his lamps out this morning over the Glens attempts to lure Shea to the Oval, which he says has been going on for over a month!  It could matter little anyhow as it seems Campbell is off this week on an offer from manager Roddy Collins to have a trial with his English 3rd Division side Carlisle United....  Told you to wait and see.
Update - Shiels is now claiming Campbell is NOT going to Carlisle on trial this week.. I also get the distinct impression he doesn't like us!!  Well get in line Kenny, maybe you haven't heard yet son..............  'we don't care'  ;-)

5th Jan 03. Is Shea on the way? - If you believe the latest hype it would appear Ballymena's wonder kid Shea Campbell is on his way to the Oval. Press speculation this morning says the 21 year old striker, 25 goals to his name already this season, has agreed to join the Glens when his contract runs out in two weeks time - I'd say lets wait and see.

Glenavon 0  Glentoran 1
An Andy Smith penalty kick just before the hour mark brings the Glens another precious three points at Mournview and send the wee Cock n' Hens back to the top of the Premier League table. Match report has now been moved HERE

4th Jan 03.  Lest we forget -  Click HERE

3rd Jan 03.  Handy Andy - Just caught the tail end of BBC's lunchtime news, says they're doin a wee bit on Andy Smith on tonight's BBC sport.
BTW - Garry Haylock is back, he's just signed a short term contract with Ards and could face the Whites tomorrow!

Glenavon game -  AGAIN ?? Yes it's only been 3 weeks since we last headed off to Lurgan to face Glenavon, 10th December to be exact, a game that was postponed from way back in August. I wrote before that game if you remember, that it had been almost 4 years since we'd last won down there ...........  well that was to change - big style!  On the night the Glens were just too good, we ran out 3-0 winners in the end (match report) and to be honest it should have been a lot more. Unfortunately for them that was also the night their star player Gerard McMahon broke his leg, it's no coincidence that it then signalled the beginning of a  of very bad run of results that has seen the Lurgan blues drop back to 9th place in the table and in grave danger of being left in the dreaded bottom six! In their 5 games since that night they've won 1, drew 1 and lost 3, conceding a whopping 15 goals in the process!! ..........yet another side who will now be desperate for the points!        Well, I'm sorry lads, but so are we!
On the Glens team front I hear Michael Halliday and Darren Lockhart are ready for action once again, but that's not to say they'll get a game!!  Darren Armour and Andy Smith have now scored 7 goals between them in the last two games, fat chance any of those two will get dropped!  Frankly I don't care who plays, the Lurgan pitch from what I remember is one of the best surfaces we've played on this season, it suits our passing game just fine and I'm looking forward to the match immensely. Once again though I warn of complacency, we've been a bit hit and miss at times over the last 4 or 5 games and Glenavon, though going through a bad patch, are certainly no mugs. Get the heads down lads, work hard and play your own game, I'm sure then you'll get the right result, and turn the screw that little bit more on big Ron's banjo pluckers!
Ballymac's bus leaves Wilgar Street at 1.45pm, visitors as usual are very welcome to come along. Or check out the bus link above to see if there's one leaving from nearer you.
Match betting: Glenavon 7/1 Glentoran 2/5 and a draw 14/5 All odds supplied by TOALS bookmakers.

2nd Jan 03. Very strong rumours .............. a Scottish League side are interested in our Elliott Morris!

Velly Intellesting ! - Portadown's League fixture away to Coleraine, postponed from back on November 30th has been re-scheduled ........ for next Tuesday night!! It means they travel to Coleraine at a time when the North-West club are on a bit of a roll. It would also mean the Glens have 2 games in hand! What chance a deluge of rain for the weekend and their trip to Newry called off...  wouldn't that also mean the two suspensions they picked up on Saturday would be carried over!!

1st Jan 03, 4.50pm.  OOOPS!!  -  EEE AWW !! - Omagh Town 1, Scum 1, counter stays I'm afraid !  Festers flops errrr....... flopped, actually!!    Ah well, maybe they'll beat Cliftonville on Saturday.   Aye maybe!! - click on the counter :-)

00.01am. Doesn't feel any friggin different to me!! ............        but sure HAPPY NEW YEAR anyway ;-)
What about a wee game eh? ...... Let's start a counter and see how long it takes the scum to win a match :-)
